Autumn Leaves

You can fight it as much as you like but there’s no getting away from it. Summer is almost over and Autumn is just around the corner.  We know this because the roads are a nightmare as the kids have gone back to school, (on the bright side the shops are quieter) those long summer evenings are not as long AND the Weatherman told us.

Not only is Autumn one of our favourite seasons, Autumnal is our favourite word. There is so much to see and do in Autumn, the colours are amazing, it’s not too hot or too cold. All you need to wear is a pair of ankle boots, jeans and your favourite jacket finished off with a scarf, and of course… don’t forget a properly fitted bra. A properly fitted bra not only gives you the correct support but it also helps you look good. It can be daunting trying to find the correct bra to wear especially after surgery so why not have a look at our fitting guides for help and advice.

Once your outfits sorted you can choose your trip? The V&A museum has an Interesting Exhibition, Undressed: A Brief History of Underwear which explores the history of underwear from the 18th Century to the Present day. It includes post-surgery bras. The exhibition runs until the 12 March 2017.  Or you could visit The York Castle Museum their new exhibit Shaping the body: 400 years of fashion, food and life looks at how our bodies have changed over the last 400 years.

Autumn is a great time to be outdoors. Trees become a blaze of colour and those crisp mornings of late autumn are a joy to see. One of our favourite place to visit is Westonbirt Arboretum near Tetbury Gloucestershire, it has a beautiful collection of Japanese Maples. For the autumn colours you could visit Grizedale Forest in the Lake District or Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest in Kent.

Forests and woods are great places to visit as a family. There are heaps and heaps of beautiful autumn leaves to kick through or bring home for various crafting activities. Or why not visit the coast? The blustery autumnal weather brings a whole new perspective to the seaside.

Do you find that autumn feels a bit like a new term? That new term feeling never seems to leave us even if we left school many moons ago. It’s the time we restart our new year’s resolutions. With the weather being a bit cooler it’s a good time to complete that exercise regime we planned. Perhaps it’s the Couch to 5 K or just going out for a 20 minute walk each day. If you start now you may be able to get into that little black dress for the festive season.

So there’s no need to feel down now summer is over. Embrace the Autumn, put on a warm woolly jumper and visit that pub with the roaring fire.
