Cookies

Several areas of our website use cookies. Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer and stored by your browser. They are used to make our website more user-friendly, efficient and secure. Cookies also allow our systems to recognise your browser and to offer you services. Cookies do not contain any personal data.

Use of the remarketing or “similar audiences” feature provided by Google Inc.

The website provider uses the remarketing or “similar audiences” feature provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). This feature allows the provider to present visitors to the website with targeted adverts. Personalised adverts based on the interests of the visitors to the provider’s website are displayed when they visit other websites in the Google Display Network. Google displays interest-based advertising by using cookies to analyse website use. This involves Google saving a small file with a sequence of numbers to the browsers of visitors to the website. This number is used to record visits to the website and to collect anonymous data about the use of the website. No personal data is stored about the visitors to the website. If, after visiting our website, you visit another website in the Google Display Network, you will be shown adverts that are very likely to take into account the products and information you previously viewed. You can permanently disable the use of cookies by Google by downloading and installing the plugin available at the following link: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/7395996?hl=en-GB

Alternatively, you can disable the use of cookies by third-party providers by visiting the deactivation page provided by the Network Advertising Initiative at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ and following the opt-out steps provided on this website. Use of Google AdWords conversion tracking

We use the online Google AdWords advertising program, which in turn uses conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is an analytics service provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”). When you click on an advert displayed by Google, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies are only valid for a limited period of time, do not contain any personal information and are therefore not used for personal identification purposes. When you visit certain pages on our website before the cookie has expired, Google and we can detect that you have clicked on the advert and have been forwarded to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. This means that it is impossible for cookies to be tracked across the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained with the help of the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have decided to make use of conversion tracking. This process informs customers of the total number of users who have clicked on their advert and who have been forwarded to a page with a conversion tracking tag. Customers do not, however, receive any information that can be used to personally identify users.

If you do not wish to participate in this tracking process, you can opt out by adjusting your browser settings so that they prevent the installation of cookies (deactivation option). By doing so, you will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics. For further information and to view Google’s privacy policy, please visit https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-GB.
